These vinyl sheets are backed with an adhesive so they may be used
as Bumper Stickers, Temporary signs, and many other uses.
They are stuck to a release lined paper and coated with a proprietary formula
which allows it to be printed on from most all standard desk top type InkJet (BubbleJet)
printers using regular Manufacturer inks.
The printed image becomes highly water resistant when absorbed into the
coating and allowed to completely dry. This permits outdoor use of the product for a
wide variety of applications where a "peel & stick" decal would be useful.
This product is recommended for temporary outdoor use.
The outdoor printer manufacturers use many different ink suppliers and our tests indicate
the longest outdoor life was experienced from images printed with Epson printers and their
inks. They have found that even the most fragile colors, light reds & blues, were
quite satisfactory for outdoor exposure for periods of 3 - 4 months.
Darker colors last much longer and Black images should provide usable images service for
periods up to a year. Outdoor life can be extended even further by laminating or spraying
a clear coat overlay on the printed image.
It is recommended letting the printed sheet dry for at least one
hour, or longer if very high humidity is experienced. If you are placing the printed sheet
onto other substrates such as magnetic sheeting, or need to prevent trapping air bubbles
under the vinyl sheet, you can use a wetting agent such as "Rapid Tac" or
"Splash" to wet the adhesive side of the sheet before sticking on to the
surface. This will allow you "squeegee" out the trapped bubbles. These wetting
agents are available from most any sign materials supply store. |
